Step2 President and CEO Chris Quinn is a recipient of the 2017 Northeast Ohio’s Smart 50 Award, which recognizes and celebrates the area’s top executives. Smart Business designed this award to recognize the executives who lead the smartest organizations in Northeast Ohio. The top leaders, including Chris, are featured in the June 2017 issue of Smart Business.
Chris joined Step2 as president and CEO in early 2015. He previously served as executive vice president of North American operations for New Balance Athletic and prior to that, chief customer officer at Folgers Coffee, a division of Procter & Gamble.
During his two-plus years at Step2, he’s grown the company’s profit and has catapulted innovation within the organization. He first challenged the team to come up with disruptive products, showcasing our best in class designs. As a result, we launched the most innovative play kitchen on the market, the Grand Luxe Kitchen, in 2016 and truly disrupted the market with the first luxury play kitchen – equipped with a deluxe refrigerator and an over-sized oven that really light up.This year, we are collaborating with British luxury Sports and Supercar manufacturer McLaren Automotive to launch the officially licensed Step2® McLaren 570S Push Sports Car, a toddler-sized push car version of the McLaren 570S sports car.
“Chris Quinn is the true definition of a leader,” stated his Smart 50 nomination letter. “His transparency, candor and appreciation for the employees at Step2 goes beyond the walls of our buildings.”
He spreads his kindness and philanthropy into the community, as demonstrated through a partnership with the Streetsboro Police Department this past December, which resulted in a $10,000 donation to the SPD on behalf of Step2.
The Corporate Collage Smart 50 Awards event will take place on June 29. Join us as Chris Quinn is honored as one of the top leaders in Northeast Ohio. For tickets and more information, visit www.regonline.com/2017neosmart50
