Step2 has a variety of kitchens to choose from, this fall we introduced a new kitchen called the Creative Cooks Kitchen. This product is exclusive for Toys R Us. Even though it has just been released, it has already become a big hit!
According to Time to Play Mag, the Creative Cooks Kitchen ranks 4.5 out of 5 stars for fun, 4.5 out of 5 stars for repeat play, and 5 out of 5 stars for assembly and instructions. Seems like they really loved this kitchen!
When asked why it is fun, Time to Play Mag said this, “With the Creative Cooks Kitchen, preschoolers can pretend to be just like mom and dad in the kitchen. This is a cute roleplay item that gives kids everything they need for a realistic kitchen experience. Parents will love this kid-sized kitchen as well thanks to its large storage capacity.”

Retail TouchPoints (RTP), the industry’s go-to source for customer engagement strategies, has awarded Step2 the Channel Innovation Bronze Award, honoring Step2 for achieving cross-channel success in today’s challenging retail environment.
Step2 is proud to be honored alongside Tesco, S Group, Foodie.fm, Envelopes.com, David’s Bridal, Marks & Spencer, Target, and Stop & Shop.
Step2 was specifically honored for its achievement in using video to give customers a more comprehensive introduction to products. Partnering with Invodo, Step2 developed a pilot program with Toys R Us featuring QR code linking to product videos in stores. This allowed customers to make more informed purchase decisions about products that may be too large to display in stores.
“As retailers continue to forge ahead into the cross-channel retail world, striving to meet the demands of today’s cross-channel shoppers, the CIA Awards recognize those efforts,” noted Debbie Hauss, Editor-in-Chief of Retail TouchPoints. “The combination of shopper demands, technology innovations and retailer responsiveness has created a perfect storm of cross-channel success in 2012 and into the future.”
She added: “As expected, many of the winners are incorporating mobile technology and social media into their marketing mix, but it was their innovative use of the technologies and the coordination across channels that made them stand out as Channel Innovation Award winners.”

Step2 is proud to be partnering with the Cleveland Indians again this year. Along with University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital and KeyBank, Step2 is sponsoring the new “Rookie Suite,” a 4,000 square foot play area for children 6 and under featuring a variety of Step2 toys including the Clubhouse Climber, two Up & Down Roller Coasters, and a Grand Walk-in Kitchen.
The new section is on the mezzanine level, and stretches from right field toward first base. It replaces the KidsLand area. This area will also replace previous seasons’ pregame activities geared toward children held in Gateway Plaza, between Progressive Field and Quicken Loans Arena.
“Fan feedback drove our decision to create the Kids Clubhouse,” said Indians president Mark Shapiro. “Fans have stressed the importance of sharing memorable experiences with their families at Progressive Field, so we have built an area that can be enjoyed by fans from all generations — especially our youngest fans.”
