Step2 Recalls Whisper Ride Touring Wagon Due to Fall Hazard; Sold Exclusively at Toys R Us

Step2 in conjunction with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada  has voluntarily recalled the Whisper Ride Touring Wagon. This wagon was exclusively sold at Toys R Us stores nationwide and online at ToysRUs.com from February 2013 to August 2013 for about $130. The two-seat wagon is 25-inches wide by 41.25-inches long by 20-inches high with blue seats, a tan wagon base and a red canopy.  The Step2 logo appears on the canopy and on the side of the wagon base. The removable blue seat backs of the Whisper Ride Touring Wagon can detach and allow the child in the wagon to fall out, posing a fall hazard.whisperridetouringwagon

Consumers should immediately stop using the wagon and inspect it to determine if the seat belt is attached to the removable blue seat back.  Consumers with the recalled wagons should contact Step2 toll-free at (866) 860-1887 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday or visit the Step2’s website at http://www.step2.com/recall/ for more information.

X-Rider Recall

At Step2, we take product safety very seriously. The Step2 Company, in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), is voluntarily recalling the X-Rider. The X-Rider which was released in the spring of 2012 is a long (14” high, 14” wide, and 19”) red plastic toy car with a yellow handlebar and seat.

The toy has been tested and meets stability standards. However, there have been four reports, including two reports of injury. Children use their feet to propel the vehicle but if their feet are leaned forward too far, children can go over the handlebar.

If your child is using an X-Rider car, STOP USING IT IMMEDIATELY and keep it away from the child.

Please visit Step2.com for instructions regarding this recall or call Step2 toll free at (866) 860-1887 between 8 am and 5 pm EST Monday through Friday.
