We are excited to officially launch the NEW Step2.com! The updated website has a modern look and feel, and a more responsive design to give our online shoppers the pinnacle customer experience. We’ve also updated the Step2 logo to match the redesigned website.
“What inspired us to relaunch Step2.com was the opportunity to make mom’s shopping experience as well as her research experience much more efficient,” said Chris Quinn, president and CEO.
The updated website supports our mission of bringing family together by simplifying the online shopping experience, enlarging the photographs, and streamlining the information moms and dads need to make informed purchases for their children. One key update is the ability to shop by brand partner, including Corvette® and Thomas the Tank Engine™.
“What bringing family together is really about is mom playing with her son or her daughter,” said Quinn. “It’s about her son or daughter playing with their best friend instead of just playing alone, which isn’t a bad thing, but it’s a good thing as well to complement alone time with tools and toys that really enable them to be different characters, to really use their imagination.”
The goal of Step2’s products, which range from play kitchens, to ride-ons, to playhouses and more, is to inspire young minds and encourage interactive and creative play.
“Step2 toys bring an opportunity for mom to successfully compete for her child’s attention – attention away from a television set, a tablet, or smartphone and towards her or towards her child’s friends,” said Quinn.
Step2 is committed to providing all children with a happy and active lifestyle. To show our diversity and commitment to children of all abilities and help provide all children with the value of creative play, Step2 has partnered with two organizations this year – Changing the Face of Beauty and the Saving tiny Hearts Society.
The partnership with Saving tiny Hearts Society began nearly seven years ago and since then, Step2 has donated more than $30,000 to fund research around congenital heart defects (CHD), the number one birth defect worldwide. Both partnerships, along with Step2 photography that showcases children of all abilities, will be featured on the updated website.
“In order for us to be successful as an Internet retailer, it’s critical that we have a great relationship with moms and our consumers,” said Quinn. “I encourage everyone to please give us unfiltered feedback because we’re committed to make sure we provide the most dynamic Internet experience possible across any platform – not just the toy industry.”
